The Role
As the Head of our Pastry Division, you will be responsible for crafting innovative dessert menus that showcase your expertise in Italian and Western flavors. You will lead a dynamic team, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste across all pastry products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing seasonal menus that highlight traditional Italian pastries and modern creations.
- Collaborating with our executive chef and management team to curate special events and catering menus.
- Maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the pastry kitchen.
- Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends, pastry techniques, and customer preferences to drive innovation.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 3+ years' experience as a senior or leadership pastry chef.
- Expert knowledge of Italian pastries, desserts, and baking techniques.
- Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and manage a dynamic team.
- A strong creative vision, with the ability to design menus that reflect both tradition and innovation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- A genuine passion for Italian cuisine and a commitment to upholding the highest culinary standards.
