Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as Operations Manager at Bidfood Australia Limited.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehousing and distribution operations within the branch, including monitoring expenses related to transport, equipment and the warehouse.

This role requires a skilled and adaptable professional who can work under pressure and as part of a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control transport, equipment and warehouse expenses including rosters and wages
  • Promote safe working procedures and ensure policies are implemented and adhered to
  • Maintain all vehicle and equipment service and maintenance schedules
  • Coach, mentor and execute performance management as required
  • Conduct internal audits of the Quality and HACCP based food systems
  • Generate, analyse and maintain reports
Requirements:
  • A current forklift licence (essential)
  • Excellent communication, organisation and managerial skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a diverse team
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems
  • Able to provide leadership and motivation to a team of up to 30 workers
