Position Description

The Logistics Manager/Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the transportation, storage, and delivery of goods and materials. They will coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure that materials are counted and signed off with the correct quantities for each block.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and coordinate transportation of goods and materials, including negotiating contracts with carriers and logistics service providers.
  2. Track and manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  3. Develop and implement logistics strategies to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
  4. Work closely with suppliers and customers to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve any issues that arise.
  5. Monitor compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to safety and environmental concerns.
  6. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers.
  8. Manage a team of logistics personnel, providing leadership and direction to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  9. Provide regular reports to senior management on logistics performance, highlighting areas for improvement and making recommendations for changes.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in Solar Farms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of logistics software and systems that may be used.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to logistics, including safety and environmental concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and provide leadership and direction to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Telehandler Ticket
  • Forklift Licence
  • Experience with Solar Farms
