Health and Wellness Expertise is highly sought after in today's fast-paced business environment. Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join their Health and Medical team as an Occupational Health Specialist.

This key role will be based in Perth and report directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will play a critical part in maintaining and developing processes that ensure the health and safety of Chevron employees and contractors.

  • Fitness for Duty (FFD): Develop and maintain FFD Process aligned with global best practices, legal requirements, and evidence-based standards. Ensure workforce training and awareness on FFD process.
  • Review and audit FFD processes and procedures to guarantee compliance and effectiveness.
  • Maintain and develop the Drug and Alcohol policy and implement the related program.
  • Collaborate with HES teams to manage FFD as an Operational Excellence process.

Achieving operational excellence requires close partnership with various stakeholders, including CMO, HR, Recruitment, and contractors. This position demands strong communication and project management skills, enabling seamless collaboration and timely execution of tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering training programs on Fitness for Duty and Return to Work.
  • Executing the FFD process requirements at pre-employment, job transfer, periodic medicals, and return to work for ABU, CAD, and contractor personnel.
  • Maintaining and developing the Medical Suitability for Expat Assignment (MSEA) Process and Medical Examination Program (MEP) FFD processes.
  • Coodinating travel health consultations and participating in performing health consultations as required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for this role, along with the capacity to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
