We are currently hiring an experienced Animal Husbandry Technician to join our team.

About the Position:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for providing daily care and feeding to animals, ensuring their health and well-being.

You will monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any changes to your supervisor. In addition, you will assist with breeding programs and reproductive management, maintain clean and safe animal enclosures, and ensure all animals are properly housed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and feeding to animals, including monitoring their behavior and health.
  • Assist with breeding programs and reproductive management.
  • Maintain clean and safe animal enclosures.
  • Administer medications or treatments as prescribed by veterinarians or supervisors.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in animal husbandry or animal care is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of animal welfare practices and handling.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, standing, and handling animals for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of farm equipment and tools is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and attention to detail in maintaining accurate records.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certificate or degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience with livestock, poultry, or laboratory animals is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with animal health regulations and standards.
