About the Role

This permanent part-time position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $31.34 - $32.74 per hour, plus superannuation and paid kilometers. As a not-for-profit employer, you'll also enjoy tax benefits that can help reduce your taxable income.

In this role, you'll be responsible for assisting clients with general household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. You'll also provide transportation to appointments and shopping, as well as social support and respite for family members and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • General household tasks: vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning the bathroom & kitchen, changing beds and washing
  • Transportation to appointments and shopping
  • Meal preparation
  • Social Support or Respite for family/carers
  • Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Good communication skills
  • A reliable team player
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety
  • An Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (not essential as you can complete this through our traineeship program)
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check
