Family Violence Program Development Specialist

Job Summary:
The Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Pilot project is seeking a highly skilled program development specialist to support the implementation of culturally secure FDSV resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to increase FDSV capabilities within the WA health system.
About the Role:
This key role involves working closely with the SEWB Program Manager to provide expert advice on FDSV practice within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural context. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of FDSV theory, policy, and practice, as well as excellent program management and planning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement culturally secure FDSV resources;
- Support the development of stronger connections in the sector to increase FDSV capabilities;
- Increase the prominence of the FDSV Pilot within the WA health system;
- Maintain processes to support pilot site deliverables.
Requirements:
- Possession of a relevant qualification in Social Work, Community Development, or a related discipline;
- Demonstrated theoretical understanding and knowledge of family, domestic and sexual violence in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural context;
- Proven experience in program management and planning;
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise competing demands in a complex working environment;
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is acknowledged as such by their community;
- Unrestricted Western Australia driver's license.
