Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Excellence Specialist to join our team at Pact Packaging.

This is a hands-on position, requiring both on-site engagement with stakeholders and office-based work to capture data and establish best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement strategic reliability initiatives to enhance asset performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Maintain proactive maintenance programs and schedules to ensure equipment integrity and reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting complex reliability issues and resolving equipment failures.
  • Conduct reliability assessments, root cause analyses, and develop mitigation plans to identify potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyse asset performance metrics, reliability data, and maintenance records to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead RCM initiatives to optimise maintenance strategies, spare parts inventory, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for effectively managing spare parts and consumables.
  • Deliver training programs and workshops to educate personnel on reliability principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices related to asset reliability and maintenance.
  • Coordinate all maintenance contractors specific to the machinery and assets associated with MGB Body and Lid manufacturing.
  • Responsible for conducting all required on-site quality testing specific to AS4123.
About You:
  • You have solid experience in a technical or maintenance-related role supporting machines and equipment used in the injection moulding or related industry.
  • You possess demonstrated understanding and competence of plastic processing equipment, including electrical, robotics, PC, networks, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of reliability principles, methodologies, and tools, such as RCM, FMEA, and condition-based maintenance.
  • You have experience with reliability analysis techniques and software tools for data analysis and visualization.
  • You have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • You have strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor reliability improvement initiatives.
  • You have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering are essential, with a Cert 4 WHS desirable.
