Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our Contaminated Land Management team in Wollongong. This is an exceptional opportunity for career development, offering hands-on experience in contaminated land management and direct learning from experienced technical leaders.

You will work closely with senior consultants on diverse projects, ranging from initial site investigations to remediation and closure. You will build your technical skills, develop confidence in client communication, and access structured training, mentoring, and professional development tailored to launch your consulting career.

About the Job
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop field expertise and knowledge in sampling methodologies for soil, soil vapor, indoor air, ambient air, hazardous materials, groundwater, and surface water.
  • Support accurate reporting activities, including maintaining field notes, site descriptions, logs, analytical summary tables, and basic reporting tasks.
  • Develop computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and communicate project updates as required.
  • Develop relationships with clients and ensure high-quality customer service throughout projects.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering is essential; an understanding of earth sciences is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with various stakeholders to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage and prioritize deadlines.
  • A proactive and motivated approach to learning.
  • A full driver's license and willingness to obtain a police and medical clearance.
