Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Professional to join our team. As a trusted firm providing tax advice and compliance support, you will work with a well-developed client base and be mentored by experienced professionals.

  • You'll deal with loyal clients who have straightforward needs as well as complex structures and sophisticated requirements.
  • Your days will be varied and interesting, allowing you to develop your professional skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and further education.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lodge returns across individuals, businesses, corporates, and trusts.
  • Deal with accounts and journaling across tax matters, including corporate, income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, and more.
  • Keep and reconcile high-quality working papers for client matters.
  • Provide supporting memoranda.
  • Research and apply Australian Taxation Office (ATO) rules.
  • Directly communicate with clients, both large and small.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Australia as a public practice tax accountant.
  • A strong desire to learn and develop.
  • Ambition to grow your income.
  • Firm grasp of Australian tax fundamentals and accounting practices.
  • Confidence with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office.
