Training Specialist for Aged Care and Disability

We are seeking a skilled Training Specialist to join our team at RMIT University. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training programs, assessing student learning, and developing innovative solutions to improve program delivery and assessment strategies.
This is a hybrid role that requires both on-campus presence in Melbourne CBD and travel around Victoria. You will have flexible hours and immediate commencement.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver teaching programs in a professional and effective manner.
- Assess the learning of students in various contemporary VET settings.
- Identify students at risk and assist in implementing effective solutions.
- Contribute to improving program delivery and assessment strategies by using best practices and industry feedback.
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
- Able to ensure current and contemporary vocational competence meets or exceeds education level delivered.
- Experience in relevant industry with substantial discipline knowledge.
- Capacity to diagnose learning problems and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to contribute as a constructive and proactive team member.
- Skill in using relevant information and communication technologies.
VET Teachers appointed to a continuing position must meet minimum standards:
- Vocational Competencies - Demonstrable competencies at least to the level of those delivered.
- Assessment and Delivery Competencies - Hold TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as a minimum qualification.
- Teaching Qualification - Professional teaching qualification at AQF Level 5 Diploma or above.
- Certificate IV in Disability and/or Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management required.
The estimated salary for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
