Job Overview

We are seeking a senior professional to lead our compliance monitoring program, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement risk-based monitoring programs to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Identify gaps in current processes and develop targeted training initiatives to build competence in key areas.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and recommend training strategies for key operational changes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, driving efficiencies and enhancing customer experience.
  • Lead and guide team members to maximize performance and attainment of outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5+ years compliance and risk experience within a financial services organization, preferably with residential lending and/or mortgage broking related experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related business discipline, or Certificate IV or Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking, and extensive experience in monitoring and training of representatives under an Australian Credit Licence and/or Australian Financial Services Licence.
  • Working knowledge of legislative regimes that underpin mortgage broking and credit advice, with ability to translate regulatory requirements into practice and process.
  • Well-developed leadership, coaching, and facilitating capabilities, demonstrated in previous roles.
  • Strong presentation skills, with ability to present to large groups and industry events.
