Job Title: Clinical Lead - Mental Health Services

Join Our Team: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to fill a Clinical Lead position in our Mental Health team.

About the Role: As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality mental health services to patients across Adelaide's southern communities. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, provide clinical leadership, and mentor nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical care coordination as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Specialist Community Mental Health Service
  • Deliver mental health and psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, treatment and care planning, therapeutic interventions, advocacy, and liaison with other community service providers
  • Act to resolve local and/or immediate nursing/midwifery care or service delivery problems
  • Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff, and staff with less experience

Requirements:

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate
  • Enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines while working under minimal supervision
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience
  • Demonstrated competence in mental health nursing practice in accordance with relevant standards
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
