Higher Education Strategic Leadership Position

We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee the delivery of Higher Degree Research services. The Associate Director will lead a team, working closely with senior leaders to embed innovative systems and ensure continuous improvement.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of HDR at our institution, supporting academic excellence, strengthening researcher capability, and contributing to strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of leadership, strategy, and higher education expertise, including:
- A postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in Higher Degree Research management.
- Proven experience managing high-performing teams with a client-first mindset.
- Expertise in HDR policy, funding, systems, and national/international research trends.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
