About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Signal Superintendent to join our team at UGL. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of signaling systems across our network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the signaling maintenance team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard and within the required timeframe.
  • Monitor and manage compliance with our Technical Maintenance Plan, identifying and addressing any issues or non-conformities.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and plans to ensure that our signaling systems are always available and functioning correctly.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to identify and implement improvements to our signaling systems and processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance schedules, and non-conformity reports.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure that our team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Rail Signaling Electrical or Certificate III in Rail Signaling Mechanical.
  • Certificate of Competency in Signal Electrical or Signal Mechanical.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role in signaling maintenance, with a strong understanding of rail signaling systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
