Work Group Leader Signals

The Work Group Leader (Signals) is a critical position within our Operations team, responsible for supervising a Signal discipline delivery work group to deliver allocated work and ensure the operational integrity and efficiency of signaling assets in a designated rail corridor.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a positive culture within the team and supervise employee and external contractor performance and productivity.
- Ensure effective maintenance of materials, tools, vehicles, and equipment to functional standard.
- Conduct systematic inspections, examinations, condition monitoring, and functional checks on rail infrastructure.
- Take appropriate action to ensure rail infrastructure is in a safe operational condition.
- Install and maintain mechanical signaling locking, and interlocking devices infrastructure and equipment.
- Maintain aerial signal/telecommunications lines and cables.
- Recommend improvements in maintenance and works processes.
- Complete Work Group activity sheets and costing for all completed tasks.
- Detailed knowledge of a single rail infrastructure discipline.
- Ability to supervise teams for effective performance.
- Knowledge of or awareness of Work, Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
- Safe working qualified (PO1 minimum, PO2 desirable)
- Drivers Licence Class C
- ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03).
