
Fleet Management Professional

We are seeking a dedicated professional to drive sustainable waste management practices and contribute to reducing the UK's carbon footprint.
Main Responsibilities:- Maintain legal compliance of the fleet by ensuring all vehicles meet regulatory requirements, implementing effective safety protocols.
- Plan and execute a comprehensive fleet management strategy to optimize operating costs.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations, fostering strong relationships.
- Deliver vehicle operating cost reductions through efficient maintenance and fuel management, promoting eco-friendly practices.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with operator licence obligations and DVSA regulations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain Company Operating Procedures for LGV/HGV maintenance, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Liaise with Depot Managers to ensure provision of all aspects of fleet support, streamlining processes.
- Provide guidance and instruction to operational staff on fleet-related issues, promoting knowledge sharing.
- Establish and manage a balanced HGV/LGV annual test programme to achieve high first-time pass rates, minimizing downtime.
- Assist in Vehicle taxation, MOTs, servicing, insurance, and camera/tracking system monitoring, ensuring compliance.
- Demonstrate exceptional service and professionalism to internal and external customers, providing excellent customer experience.
- A dynamic individual with initiative and time management skills to achieve high efficiency and output, driving results.
- Previous experience in fleet management, preferably with an automotive mechanical engineering background, leveraging technical expertise.
- Competent in PC-based fleet management systems and Microsoft Office, utilizing technology effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels within and outside the business, building trust.
- Holding a full UK driving licence, ensuring mobility.
