Community Engagement Officer Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and driven team who strive to make positive impacts within the community.

The role combines customer service, administration, and community engagement to create a welcoming, vibrant, and well-run space for the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and administrative support for the Hub and other hubs as required.
  • Promote programs and activities through inclusive marketing and engagement.
  • Support the operation of the Hub in line with Council's policies and procedures.
  • Work with the broader L&LN team to activate the Hub and strengthen community relationships using a place-based, asset-based approach.
  • Enhance the profile of the Hub through inclusive promotion, marketing, and community engagement.
  • Strengthen relationships with the local community.
Requirements:
  • Certificate in community development, business administration, or a related field, and/or relevant experience in community development, customer service, or community facility support.
  • Experience in integrated community support and working with broad stakeholder groups to create a community space that is welcoming, safe, active, and inclusive.
  • Demonstrated customer service and administrative skills.
