About The JCTS

Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture between the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the RACGP. JCTS facilitates shared GP training activities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health initiatives, cultural education, mentorship, and registrar housing in remote communities.

About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Manager QLD, you'll deliver and evaluate cultural education workshops with clinical components, mentor GP Registrars, and support their induction in alignment with JCTS' strategic plan. You'll guide GP Supervisors and Registrars in cultural learning, supported by our dedicated cultural education team.

Key responsibilities
  • Hold AHPRA registration and fellowship from a generalist medical college.
  • Deliver cultural education activities with clinical components and assess outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor GP Registrars; support their induction and ongoing development.
  • Collaborate with GP Supervisors and the cultural education team to meet community health needs through regionally focused medical education.
Skills and Experience
  • Cultural safety expertise and experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Extensive clinical experience in general practice; experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement, including mentoring and supervision.
  • Insurance requirements: professional indemnity (as per AHPRA) and comprehensive motor vehicle insurance for remote supervision.
