Medical Education Officer Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Education Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to make a real difference in the field of medical education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational expertise and leadership in the delivery of medical education to prevocational and vocational medical staff. They will also ensure ongoing training and accreditation requirements are met, support best practice education and training using contemporary and interprofessional adult learning principles, develop, implement, evaluate and support excellence in medical education and training, and evaluate and research to ensure safe patient care and quality clinical practice.

About You:

  • You will possess a Bachelor degree in Adult Education, Health or related discipline, or a Tertiary clinical qualification.
  • You have high level interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively across a broad range of professional levels and streams.
  • Previous work experience as a clinician would be desirable.
  • You will have research and analytical skills.
  • You understand AMC standards for Intern Training and NSQHS Standards.
  • Your focus is on patient centred care in all aspects of training and development.
