We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Multicultural Child Protection Caseworker to join our team in NSW Government. As a Caseworker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to reports of child abuse and neglect, and work with families to develop safety plans and complete risk assessments.
- Build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families, and work collaboratively with other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide culturally sensitive and responsive support to families from diverse backgrounds, including those from Assyrian communities.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the safety and well-being of children and young people, and to prevent child abuse and neglect.
- Completed or in the final semester of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A valid driver's license (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number.
- A rewarding salary from $79,032 to $109,194 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
