
Sales Channel Manager

Job Description:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for distributor and reseller partnerships within assigned territories to drive business growth.
- Enhance awareness of Canonical's presence in the open source and cloud computing sectors.
- Identify and recruit new potential partners in assigned areas, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
- Utilize personal networks and prospecting skills to engage new partners and build on existing connections.
- Guide partners through onboarding and enablement processes.
- Collaborate with partners to develop tailored go-to-market plans and commitments.
- Organize and execute sales and pre-sales training programs for these resellers.
- Manage and nurture channel pipelines through regular partner interactions.
- Ensure partner satisfaction and serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
- Maintain consistent and frequent communication with priority resellers and distributors.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and engage reseller and distributor partners to expand Canonical's business presence in assigned territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at partner organizations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of sales strategies.
- Work with other departments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in software or technology sales from specified markets.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Understanding of open-source software, Linux, and Ubuntu principles.
- Self-motivated individual with a proven ability to meet sales targets.
- Attention to detail with strong follow-up skills.
- Effective negotiation skills with the ability to close sales.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to thrive in a globally distributed team environment.
- Mature approach to long-term customer relationship development.
- Capacity to represent the organization at external events.
