Job Title: Project Manager

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of civil infrastructure projects.

  • This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who is passionate about driving project performance, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering excellence across program, commercial, and technical outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Take ownership of the full project lifecycle from planning through to completion ensuring key milestones, sequencing, and delivery targets are met.
  2. Cost & Forecasting: Maintain rigorous control of budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting to ensure delivery within financial parameters.
  3. Contracts & Procurement: Manage head contracts and subcontractor agreements, procurement strategies, variations, and commercial risk.
  4. Team & Site Coordination: Collaborate with site supervisors and construction teams to ensure day-to-day site operations align with program, quality, and safety expectations.
  5. HSEQ Management: Uphold and enforce compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems, including documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Engineering Leadership: Mentor and guide a cohort of project and site engineers under your leadership, ensuring strong technical performance, accountability, and career development.
  7. Design & Constructability Review: Manage interface with designers and consultants; challenge and influence design to deliver cost-effective, constructible solutions through innovative construction methodologies.
  8. Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with clients, authorities, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring communication is proactive and solution focused.
  9. Project Strategy: Identify opportunities to improve margin, accelerate program, and enhance delivery outcomes through commercial insight and operational decision-making.

Requirements
  1. Ideally you will have 7+ years' experience in the delivery of civil construction projects locally.
  2. Solid technical understanding of civil construction methodologies and sequencing.
  3. Strong contract administration skills and experience with cost control and forecasting tools.
  4. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  5. High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  6. Proven success in delivering projects on time and within budget under tight constraints.
  7. Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
