Our organization is seeking a skilled Veteran Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with veterans and their families, providing guidance and support as they transition back to civilian life.

The ideal candidate will possess strong emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for holistically working with veteran clients and their families.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing a caseload of veteran clients and providing support on their return to wellbeing journey
  • Supporting veteran clients and their families to return to work following service-related injuries and illnesses
  • Supporting veteran clients and their families to re-engage with community activities
  • Assisting veteran clients who may be experiencing a crisis or need mental health support

The required qualifications for this position include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Nursing (RN), Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology
  • Professional registration with either AHPRA, ESSA, AASW, ASORC, RCAA
  • Good time management and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and complex problem-solving abilities
