Job Overview

Kuehne + Nagel is seeking a committed Area Continuous Improvement Specialist to enhance our expanding Contract Logistics Team.

Your Role

As a vital member of our Contract Logistics division, you will leverage your leadership capabilities and operational expertise to foster Customer and Operational Excellence.

Your Responsibilities

Your main goal will be to facilitate warehousing and distribution operations in alignment with the overarching strategic vision, concentrating on operational excellence. You will establish and integrate a continuous improvement framework across operational functions to attract and retain customers. This will involve collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, focusing on the following key objectives:

  • Upskilling team members by providing training on essential productivity enhancement tools and methodologies.
  • Planning and executing all annual excellence certification initiatives for the designated locations, aiming for elevated levels of operational excellence.
  • Evaluating and validating continuous improvement projects with an emphasis on achieving annual cost-saving targets.
  • Coaching site managers and their teams in the competencies required to propel operational excellence initiatives.
  • Participating in in-depth value stream analysis events.
  • Implementing KN Excellence site certification roadmaps encompassing all continuous improvement elements.
  • Driving and overseeing Kaizen events for ongoing productivity and quality enhancements across operational functions.
