Transport Continuous Improvement Engineer

CEVA Logistics is seeking a skilled Transport Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive efficiency and optimize performance within our transport operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and improve transport processes using LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
  • Lead projects aimed at process re-engineering, driving strategic changes, and redesigning operational layouts to improve transport operations.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to transport sites, enabling successful execution of Kaizen activities through training, coaching, and data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Business Process Excellence (BPE) tools, including 5S & Scheduling tools, performance boards, and productivity and utilisation reports, tailored to transport functions.
  • Guide and mentor operations teams to achieve and maintain target levels in our site accreditation program, focusing on transport efficiency and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably within logistics, transport, or supply chain sectors.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with process improvement tools such as Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, applied within transport or logistics environments.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement in transport operations.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and make recommendations that enhance transport efficiency.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables, to support data analysis and reporting.
