Job Title: Project Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Project Security Specialist to join our team. This is a site-based role responsible for assisting our project team in managing physical security, in line with client security requirements and the project security plan.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary security liaison, maintaining daily communication with Regional Security Manager, Data Centre Security Manager, client security representatives, certifying authorities, and other relevant personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive security oversight throughout the construction phase to ensure delivery of fit-for-purpose and certifiable facilities through attendance at security assurance Hold and Witness Point inspections.
  • Collation of security assurance reports to the AWS Security Assurance Team.
  • Documenting and tracking security-related issues and incidents.
  • Appropriate management, response, and recording of any security issues or incidents occurring throughout the construction phase as per the Security Response Plan.
  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with project security requirements, proactively identifying potential security risks and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the construction phase.
  • Facilitating meetings with clients, resolving issues, and reporting on matters relating to security compliance.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience working in a Physical Security Operations position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Physical Security best practices which includes the application of Physical Security Systems, Investigation Techniques, and Security Incident Management.
  • Demonstrable experience managing Security Operations in complex environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a high-security environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and can learn quickly.
  • Driven to provide internal and external customers with responsive and unparalleled support and dedicated to meet and fulfill customer expectations.
  • Desire to step outside the comfort zone to take ownership of projects and domains not in your range of expertise.
