About the Role
  • Support the clinical workforce by providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Collect and distribute waste bins across hospital departments, ensuring efficient and effective waste management processes
  • Liaise with subcontractors to coordinate waste management services, focusing on minimizing environmental impact and maximizing recycling rates
Key Responsibilities
  1. Emptying and washing waste bins, recording waste streams, and supporting waste minimisation initiatives
  2. Safely operating bin washing and waste management equipment in line with safety procedures
  3. Providing exceptional customer service and support to staff and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and cooperation
Requirements
  • Experience in a healthcare or customer-focused environment (desirable)
  • An understanding of safe waste handling practices or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills with a focus on service and safety
  • Willingness to meet health, safety, and vaccination requirements for hospital work
