Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motorcycle Traffic Response Officer to join our team. As a first responder, you will be required to work Monday to Friday, morning (05:00 - 13:00) and afternoon shifts (13:00 - 21:00), starting at Stretton, Murarrie and Bowen Hills.

The key duties of this role include:

  • Responding to traffic incidents and breakdowns along major roads and highways.
  • Supporting Situational Incident Response Officers where applicable.
  • Ensuring the safety of your team, road users, and other related parties while engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents.
  • Providing optimum safe lane availability and relaying up-to-date information to supervisors and the wider response team.
  • Operating a range of vehicles to assist with all aspects of civil maintenance support.
  • Providing road trauma first aid and small compartmental firefighting when required and safe to do so.

Mandatory requirements for this role include:

  • A motorcycle and MR drivers' licence with zero court cancellations or suspensions.
  • Highly experienced in motor cycle operations.
  • A Construction white card.
  • Ability to work both day and night shift.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Level-headed and calm when working under pressure with strong self-awareness.
  • Incident management experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Full working rights in Australia.
