The Clinical Director of Anaesthesia will provide strategic leadership and direction to the anaesthesia team at Gladstone Hospital, ensuring high-quality, contemporary services are integrated within the clinical services framework of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the anaesthesia team to deliver high-quality patient care and services
- Develop and implement service plans to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency
- Collaborate with other clinical departments to ensure effective liaison and coordination
- Provide professional support to other locations within the CQHHS
- Ensure the quality, cost efficiency, and effective delivery of anaesthesia services at Gladstone Hospital
Requirements:
- Registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
- Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
- Experience in leading and managing anaesthesia services

Gladstone Hospital is a 83-bed hospital providing a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital has approximately 392 full-time equivalent staff delivering services across acute, community, and primary care.
