Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead and mentor our trade staff and apprentices in a challenging and rewarding role. In this position, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

About the Role
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a close-knit team to deliver exceptional results in a Defence Maintenance Contract setting.
  • As a Technical Supervisor, you will provide expert technical guidance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • You will conduct inspections, audits, and technical investigations as needed to drive continuous improvement and support professional development across the team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10 skilled trade staff and apprentices
  • Allocate tasks and manage workflow in accordance with the End-to-End Maintenance Process
  • Provide expert technical guidance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and technical investigations as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement and support professional development across the team
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop or maintenance environment
  • Experience using SAP and MS Office
  • Knowledge of WHS, quality assurance, and Defence compliance standards

To be considered for this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1). You must also be an Australian citizen.
