Clinical Social Worker

Grampians Health is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to join our team as a Grade 2 Counsellor/Advocate at the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault. This is a permanent role, and both full-time and part-time applications are welcome.

Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed counselling and advocacy services to victim/survivors of sexual violence
- Conduct therapeutic treatment of children and young people exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours
- Manage intervention plans, risk and psychosocial assessments, and write reports for clients
- Provide counselling, intervention, advocacy, and evaluation services
- Attend regular staff meetings to review agency priorities
- Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments
- Experience in provision of trauma-informed therapeutic intervention and/or case management support
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to advocate and work collaboratively in the pursuit of client care
- Experience in working in community and healthcare settings with an emphasis on sexual assault and family violence
