Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled payroll professional to undertake end-to-end payroll tasks with accuracy and maintenance of the payroll process.
  • The successful candidate will ensure all payrolls are processed fortnightly for approximately 300 employees.
  • Responsibilities include running individual sections of the payroll, ensuring the payroll system (Meridian Micropay) is accurate and maintained as per employment contracts, enterprise agreements, and legislative requirements.
  • Key duties include processing day-to-day leave, PAYG, payroll tax, and superannuation.
  • The ideal candidate will provide regular payroll information, reports, and analysis as required.
  • Interpretation of awards/enterprise agreements/employment contracts is essential.
  • Effective communication with employees and management is crucial in responding to payroll queries.
  • Maintenance of employee personnel and leave records is also necessary.
  • The selected candidate must conduct financial transactions in line with guidelines and policy.

Requirements:

  • Highly skilled with Meridian Micropay (knowledge of Connex an advantage).
  • Previous experience in interpreting EAs is highly desirable.
  • A willingness to take on projects and run own section of the payroll process.
  • An engaging, trustworthy, and hardworking individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
