Palm Scheme Workforce Provision Manager

As a seasoned workforce provision manager, you will lead the PALM Scheme team in planning and coordination while building relationships with international stakeholders.

  • You will establish and maintain high-priority working relationships at an international and national level to drive program success.
  • A key aspect of this role is ensuring regular engagement with Australian Government departments on program-related developments and issues to foster a collaborative environment.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating worker recruitment, associated arrangements such as visas, documentation, and travel plans to ensure seamless onboarding.
  • This position involves identifying and engaging local Australian organisations to understand community issues and support workers post-arrival, creating a network of resources for our employees.
  • You will work closely with account managers and clients to conduct Quality Assurance activities, upholding the highest standards of service delivery.
  • The Palm Scheme requires a proactive approach to organizing and engaging stakeholders in community and networking events, showcasing our organisation's commitment to connection and growth.
Requirements
  • A degree in International Relations, Development, or a related field is essential for this role.
  • The successful candidate will have proven experience in program or project management in challenging environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
  • Cross-cultural competencies in working with Pacific and Timor-Leste people are crucial, along with excellent leadership and management skills, including remote team leadership.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strategic communication experience, are necessary to effectively convey vision and objectives.
  • A genuine interest in Pacific culture, labour mobility, and worker welfare is required, as well as a passion for making a difference in people's lives.
