Policy and Advocacy Specialist

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a consumer advocacy organisation as a Policy and Advocacy Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with the team to develop and implement effective policy strategies that make a real difference in the lives of consumers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policy strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives;
  • Conduct research and analysis on key issues affecting consumers;
  • Write clear and compelling submissions, reports, and correspondence to decision-makers and stakeholders;
  • Provide expert advice to the team on consumer policy issues;
  • Represent the organisation at meetings and events with policymakers, regulators, businesses, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Degree in law, politics, social science, or related field;
  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
