Job Opportunity

The position of Team Leader Payroll Operations plays a pivotal role in the organization's Workforce Shared Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.

This leadership role requires a highly experienced and motivated individual to oversee the payroll team in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have extensive supervisory experience, strong technical knowledge, including legislative and compliance understanding, and experience managing payroll under multiple agreements.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading and supporting the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Overseeing payroll operations including master data maintenance, payroll production, statutory reporting, and payment processing in line with compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring and implementing changes to awards, agreements, and relevant legislation, ensuring appropriate application and communication.
  • Collaborating with Payroll Systems and HRIS teams to support seamless system operation and resolve technical issues.
  • Providing technical support to the team, including resolving escalated queries and complex payroll issues in collaboration with HR and Finance.
  • Coordinating training, onboarding, and capability development for payroll team members, maintaining relevant training documentation and plans.
  • Contributing to ongoing payroll process improvements and support integration projects.
  • Tracking and reporting on key metrics including SLAs, case resolution times, overpayments, and recovery efforts.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure efficient and customer-centric payroll services.
