Your Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, valuing your skills and contribution. Additionally, you'll enjoy a generous 25% staff discount on all FREEDOM products, including sale items, as well as other benefits outlined below.

Job Description

As our Homewares Product Specialist, you'll be responsible for researching trends, designing, and developing commercial products for the home. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping FREEDOM's direction and strategic initiatives. You'll collaborate with the Head of Homewares and design lead to drive product development and curate beautiful products across various categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and create products that align with global movements, industry trends, and manufacturing techniques
  • Co-manage and curate range architecture across all categories with your product team
  • Develop fit-for-purpose products that meet customer needs and achieve cohesive, highly commercial ranges
  • Maintain and master our Design systems

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in a related design field (textiles, graphics)
  • At least 3 years' experience as a textile designer in the retail or wholesale industry – specifically product development in textile categories
  • Deep knowledge of fabrications and textiles
  • Demonstrated superior commercial and business experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding and experience in back wall programs
  • Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability
  • Ability to meet project deadlines to support FREEDOM's commercial critical path
