Rehabilitation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals who have been involved with the criminal justice system. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex offenders and providing them with the support and resources they need to successfully reintegrate into the community.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will be a non-judgmental professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will have experience working with vulnerable populations and be comfortable practicing self-care and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of high-risk offenders and provide case management services to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
- Contribute to a strengthened through-care approach by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions from prison to community supervision.
- Encourage offenders to take ownership of their appointments and link them with necessary services, including AOD, mental health, housing, and employment assistance.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will have experience working with complex groups such as homelessness, drug and alcohol, and child protection. Additionally, you should be able to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
