About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Day Program Manager to lead our Day Program team at The Melbourne Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of our day programs. Your strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate a team will be essential in fostering a supportive and engaging environment that promotes recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership to the Day Program team, working closely with other managers to achieve operational goals while maintaining clinical integrity.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of client management plans and day programs.
  • Oversee the intake process for day program services, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
  • Handle HR functions, including rostering and leave cover, while supporting staff development.
  • Offer professional-specific consultation and advice to multidisciplinary team members.
  • Contribute to education programs and quality improvement projects, engaging in strategic planning and budget management for the Day Program department.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of relevant policies and programs.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering a range of clinical services to mental health consumers, with management or coordination experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate a therapy program or team effectively.
  • Highly developed skills in assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities to handle workload effectively.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in mental health program management, preferably within a private healthcare setting.
