About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Officer to join our Development team at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and curating engaging and high-quality content that aligns with our strategic goals and supports the initiatives of our Development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies to promote our Development initiatives and support our fundraising goals.
  • Manage and develop content for a variety of fundraising materials, programs, and campaigns across print and digital channels.
  • Create compelling and persuasive content for Development campaigns, proposals, and applications.
  • Collaborate with the broader communications team to ensure Development content is strategically included to maximize our Development and organizational goals.
  • Work closely with the Development team to understand their needs and develop content that supports their initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and fundraising.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in marketing, advertising, development, or communications role.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communications strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to write clearly, logically, and persuasively.
  • Highly developed digital literacy, including understanding of various platforms, including websites and social media.
  • Strong project management skills, including prioritization, organization, and multitasking.
  • Genuine interest in fundraising and philanthropy and a commitment to working collaboratively.
