About the Role

As a Family Support Practitioner, you will work closely with families in their homes and communities. You will provide intensive family support tailored to the needs of children, young people, and their families.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions, including parenting strategies and practical life skills coaching.
  • Support families to access community resources, education, and employment pathways.
  • Conduct home visits and engage in early intervention strategies to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Work alongside Child Safety and other government and community stakeholders to deliver wrap-around support.

You will be responsible for completing documentation and case notes in line with legislative and organisational requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly children and families.
  • Ability to implement evidence-based interventions and develop relationships with clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
