Support Worker

This is a key role for our Community Care services team where you will share your knowledge and experience to assist in the support of aged care and disability clients.
We are looking for a team player who can be flexible, strong and resilient in various challenging situations. You will deliver high quality services to clients through:
- Domestic assistance and general household duties including mopping, vacuuming and preparing meals
- Social Supports and accessing the community
- Medication assistance and health support including accessing medical services
- Personal Care and supporting clients to maintain personal hygiene and grooming
- Support and empower clients to achieve their personal goals
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and provide safe services in client homes or within the community, following care plans and following a planned roster/schedule
- Customer service skills including the ability to support consumers to build independence and exercise choice and control over their daily lives
- Ability to use digital systems including email, messenger systems and Client information systems
Requirements
- Current C or CA Driver's license (QLD)
- Certificate III or higher in a relevant qualification with a minimum of 12 months industry experience
- HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication Skill set
Previous experience of working with culturally diverse clients and current or recent experience in client focused roles is highly desirable. We require the ability to adapt communication to individual client needs. The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
