Strategic Planning Role

This strategic planning role offers the opportunity to contribute to region-wide reviews and responses to complex development projects and regional planning matters.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of transport planning projects undertaken by the Region, requiring a working knowledge of transport analysis methodologies.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

  • A criminal history check will be conducted prior to appointment to the role.

**Desirable Qualifications and Conditions:**

  • Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or similar qualification with detailed knowledge of the Planning Act 2016, Economic Development Act 2012, Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 and strategic land use planning processes and policies in Queensland.
  • Current Class 'C' Drivers Licence.

  • Exhibit courage in making decisions under pressure or in the absence of complete information.

  • Analyse data and trends to identify risks to project activities and empower others to incorporate risk management into planning.
