Strategic Advisor: Restrictive Practice Elimination

This is a key opportunity to join our team as a strategic advisor in the elimination of restrictive practices in schools.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for providing high-level strategic advice to senior officers on issues related to restrictive practices. The role involves ensuring that departmental policies and guidelines are understood and enacted by schools, and developing strategies to eliminate restrictive practices.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing evidence-based strategies to build inclusive school environments;
  • Managing the implementation of procedures and guidelines associated with restrictive practices;
  • Working with schools and regions to build capability and reduce the use of restrictive practices;
  • Establishing data collection processes and providing reports to senior officers;
  • Providing guidance and support to school leadership teams to implement departmental policy information.
