Finance Operations Lead

This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity for a driven professional to lead financial operations, contribute to strategic decision-making, and shape the future of our firm.

As a key member of the finance team, you will provide expertise in accounting and financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include preparing monthly financial reports in line with board requirements, overseeing payroll, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will also manage trust compliance and annual audits, leading strategic planning, budgeting, and ad hoc reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Lead financial operations, including accounting and financial reporting
  • Provide expertise in financial analysis and interpretation
  • Prepare monthly financial reports in line with board requirements
  • Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with ATO, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax regulations
  • Manage trust compliance and annual audits
  • Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and ad hoc reporting
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
  • 10+ years' experience in financial leadership, ideally within professional services or law
  • Understanding and experience with QLS Trust account rules and regulations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • High integrity, dependability, and results-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
