Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead the delivery of a major pumped hydro scheme in the Snowy Mountains of NSW.

This iconic project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for generations to come.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all onsite technical matters, including construction verification works, scheduling, monitoring, planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing construction methodologies, programs, and SWMS for given packages;
  • Leading the delivery of stage 2 excavation, ground support, and FRP works, coordinating with the wider project team;
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of construction methods onsite in consultation with the Senior Project Manager and Construction Superintendent;
  • Monitoring and reporting productivity and cost performance daily, weekly, and monthly;
  • Procuring permanent materials and subcontractors;
  • Ensuring site engineers and subordinates are clear on their responsibilities, providing regular feedback, and developing team members for succession opportunities;
  • Managing short- and medium-term construction planning, developing 6WLAH;
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and key project personnel, ensuring buy-in to safety and quality strategies;
  • Developing QA/QC Lot Maps;
  • Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure safe project delivery within time, budget, and quality requirements.
