About the Role

Troocoo is seeking a skilled Strategic Governance Expert to join our corporate services team. This role will be responsible for developing innovative plans and strategies to drive growth and success.

Job Description

This role involves providing professional advice and recommendations on governance, risk, and compliance matters. The successful candidate will have experience coordinating a system of governance, risk, and compliance activities in a complex environment within a government context.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Governance and Compliance: Provide expert advice on governance and compliance matters, ensuring alignment with best practice and global compliance obligations.
  • Risk Management: Facilitate the development of risk registers and assessments, ensuring effective internal controls and systems are in place.
  • Policy Management: Manage the policy management framework, including monitoring policies for review and maintaining delegation schedules.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and governance requirements, including Board and First Nations Advisory Committee reporting requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance principles and practices.
  • Experience working in a complex government environment, preferably in a corporate services or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international culturally diverse environment.
  • Ability to plan and deliver quality work on time, reflecting well-developed analytical, research, engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of flexibility and resilience, with the ability to operate in a high-pressure environment where priorities may change frequently.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Troocoo offers a range of benefits, including competitive salaries, excellent leave entitlements, and opportunities for professional development.
