Housing Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Support Worker to join our Housing Programs team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing case management services to assist households in crisis to access and sustain suitable housing.
Key Responsibilities- Actively commit to and perform work in accordance with quality standards and continuous improvement
- Identify and communicate improvement opportunities
- Empowering participants to obtain and sustain long-term housing outcomes
- Utilising motivational interviewing techniques and trauma-informed practices to inform approach to all aspects of the work
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Diploma qualification in Community Service with substantial relevant experience commensurate with the role requirements, or a degree qualification with two years' relevant experience
- A current driver's license is essential
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff in contributing to the development of work goals openly and honestly
- Ability to work autonomously to deliver team outcomes and objectives
- Experience working with people from diverse, social and economic disadvantaged backgrounds
- Current National Police and Working with Children (Blue Card) check or the ability to acquire is essential
