Cyber Defence Analytics Professional
Effective cyber defence is crucial in protecting an organisation's digital assets and sensitive information. Our Cyber Defence Analytics team plays a vital role in enhancing the bank's security posture by leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and innovative research.
The ideal candidate will have experience in incident analysis, reporting, and documentation in cyber teams. Proficiency with SIEM technologies and security data analysis is also essential. Experience in building automated data processing pipelines, analytics dashboards, and reporting for technical or security teams is highly desirable.
Responsibilities include researching and analysing incident data, threat intelligence, and operational metrics to identify trends, abnormalities, and insights in cyber defence operations. The selected candidate will develop, deploy, and optimise AI/GenAI and analytic models to enhance threat detection, automate data analysis, and support incident response/cybercrime teams.
The selected professional will own the data lifecycle for our defensive teams, designing and managing processes for data collection, cleaning, enrichment, storage, dashboarding, reporting, and metrics. They will lead the design and implementation of automation or tooling to improve workflows and reporting across Cyber Defence teams.
A collaborative mindset is required to work closely with incident response, detection, and cybercrime teams to deliver effective business reporting and insights. Strategic partnerships are key in advising on data management, new analytic initiatives, and analytics-driven process improvements.

Key Requirements:
- 2-3+ years' experience in Cyber Defence operations (incident response, cyber threat intel, detection engineering, cybercrime) OR experience in Data Science/Analytics applied to security operation domains.
- Knowledge of IT security principles, cyber defence processes, and software security architecture.
- Experience in incident analysis, reporting, and documentation in cyber teams.
- Proficiency with SIEM technologies and security data analysis.
- Experience building automated data processing pipelines, analytics dashboards, and reporting for technical or security teams.
- Experience utilising Generative AI tools, large language models, and other modern analytics approaches in engineering or research practices.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, IT, or related discipline, or nearing completion.
- Relevant industry certifications such as SANS/GIAC or Relevant Security Risk Management certifications are advantageous.
- Participation and membership of relevant industry associations.
