Cyber Defence Analytics Researcher Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defence Analytics Researcher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the field of cyber defence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse incident data, threat intelligence, and operational metrics to identify trends and insights in cyber defence operations.
- Develop and deploy AI/GenAI models to enhance threat detection, automate data analysis, and support incident response teams.
- Design and manage processes for data collection, cleaning, enrichment, storage, dashboarding, reporting, and metrics for defensive teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of automation or tooling to improve workflows and reporting across Cyber Defence teams.
- Collaborate with incident response, detection, and cybercrime teams to deliver effective business reporting and insights.
- Act as a strategic partner for Cyber Defence Operations, advising on data management and new analytic initiatives.
Requirements:
- 2-3+ years experience in Cyber Defence operations or Data Science/Analytics applied to security operation domains.
- Knowledge of IT security principles, cyber defence processes, and software security architecture.
- Experience in incident analysis, reporting, and documentation in cyber teams.
- Proficiency with SIEM technologies and security data analysis.
- Experience building automated data processing pipelines, analytics dashboards, and reporting for technical or security teams.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, IT, or related discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications such as SANS/GIAC or Security Risk Management certifications are advantageous.
- Participation and membership of relevant industry associations.
